R.1a Route Vermunt 1: Baggerloch

This 9.7-kilometre route runs from Wirl to Baggerloch through snowy lake scenery. It’s perfect for nature enthusiasts.

The Vermunt Route 1 spans 9.7 kilometres from Wirl to the Baggerloch at 1,762 metres. The trail passes the snow-covered Vermunt lakes, offering a romantic, secluded winter setting between Ballunspitze and Gorfenspitze. The return follows the same path initially before rejoining the starting section through the narrow valley. This route is perfect for nature enthusiasts. Connecting trails downstream are the Galtür-Wirl trail and the Zeinis-Kops route, upstream the Vermunt 2 route to the Silvretta Reservoir.
