Medals for all included.

As one of the most challenging but also most scenic mountain marches in Europe, the Silvretta Ferwall March in Galtür, Tyrol's first climatic health resort, has long been a firm fixture in the diaries of its international participants. The event will take place for the 51st time on 24 August 2024 and offers the right march route for everyone this year with four hiking distances of varying difficulty. Good to know: time is not a factor when it comes to winning one of the coveted hiking medals. At the Silvretta Ferwall Marsch, the journey is the reward. The focus is on the experience of discovering the impressive nature of Galtür, which even Hemingway raved about, together with other ambitious hikers. Whether you are a family with a pram on a treasure hunt, youngsters in medal fever or professionals chasing kilometres with a view - every participant receives a medal at the end. The race starts on 24 August between 6:00 and 11:00 am, depending on the distance. The entry fee for adults is 27 Euro, for children and young people up to the age of 17 there is a fee of 23 Euro. Children under the age of five take part free of charge. Included in the entry fee: Refreshments, regional snacks from the Genussregion region at the refreshment stations along the route, a functional shirt and a hiking medal. Four routes to the medal

In summer 2024, participants in the 51st Silvretta Ferwall March will choose their route from four panoramic distances and decide the colour of their hiking medal with their choice of route. Where do the routes with start and finish in Galtür lead? The very challenging "Marathon route" runs over 42.2 kilometres with an impressive 1,779 metres in altitude over the Zeinisjoch, the Grieskogeljoch at 2,698 metres above sea level and the Larein Alpe and is rewarded with a gold medal and a certificate of honour. The "Ferwall route" follows a similar, but slightly shorter course with 32.7 kilometres and 1,498 metres of altitude. Ambitious hikers are in the right place here and can adorn themselves with a gold medal after their march. Silver medals are awarded to summiteers and hobby hikers on the 19.2-kilometre "Silvretta Route", which leads over the summit of the Breitspitze with an elevation gain of 618 metres. For those who prefer a shorter, easier hike and are after a bronze medal: the "family route", which is suitable for pushchairs, leads over 13.5 kilometres and 150 metres in altitude, including around the Kops reservoir, and keeps mini hikers entertained with an exciting treasure hunt. Hiking for a good cause

Taking part in the Silvretta Ferwall March means hiking for a good cause. For many years now, the participants' medals have been produced in the sheltered workshop in Tyrol, which creates market-oriented jobs for people with disabilities.
