Summer 2025 in Paznaun brings numerous innovations for active holidaymakers and families. Mountain bikers, hikers and nature lovers can look forward to new trails, certified hiking paths, climbing offers and family-friendly attractions. The region is also becoming even more accessible thanks to sustainable mobility options.
Mountain biking: Silvretta Bike Arena and Silva Trails in the Gravity Card
From summer 2025, the Silvretta Bike Arena Ischgl/Samnaun and the Silva Trails Galtür will be part of the Gravity Card network. This gives you access to 30 top mountain bike destinations in seven European countries.
The new trail offers once again emphasise the boundlessness of the Silvretta Bike Arena 2025. A new 30-kilometre tour connects Ischgl with Ramosch (Scuol) in Switzerland and leads from Flimjoch along the border via Val Gronda to the Heidelberger mountain lodges and on over the Fimbapass. The new Fimbapass Marathon, an 80-kilometre round tour, leads from Ischgl over the Fimbapass to Ramosch, via Martina to Samnaun and from there back with the cable cars.
Silvapark Galtür is expanding its mountain bike offer with new trails for the 2025 summer season. The Faulbrunn Trail, a blue beginners' trail, leads one kilometre around the Alpkogel and the Faulbrunn Alm. Three more challenging sections - Schrofa, Tuala and Gonda Trail - offer technical riding fun with red and black sections. The offer is complemented by the Kli Zeinis Trail, another blue trail. The Schrofa Trail is particularly challenging with a length of 180 metres and technical challenges that make Galtür an even more attractive destination for mountain bikers of all skill levels.
Hiking: Certified trails and new tours
The Paznaun High Route will be awarded the European Hiking Seal of Quality from 2025. The 131-kilometre circular hiking trail comprises nine stages with a total of 9,733 metres of ascent and 8,723 metres of descent. As a leading hiking trail, it emphasises the unique natural and cultural landscapes of the region and combines these with a moderate level of difficulty.
Another new feature is the 14-kilometre Val Gronda hiking tour. The route starts at the Flimjoch, leads along the Swiss border via ridge paths and ends at the mountain lodges in Heidelberger Hütte. This route combines spectacular views with an intense experience of nature.
Family-friendly offers, new climbing opportunities and trail running routes
The Seebis Bear World on the Medrig has been opened for families in See, a versatile playground with water games, a honeycomb tower for climbing and courses for skill exercises. In Kappl, visitors can look forward to the new Escape Trail, an outdoor puzzle adventure in the Alpe Dias area. Families and groups can solve exciting tasks in the midst of nature.
The thermal spa in Ischgl attracts visitors with extensive summer wellness offers. From 28 June, visitors can enjoy the large outdoor pool with sunbathing lawn and children's area, the sauna landscape, fitness centre and trattoria. Early bookers benefit from discounts of up to 20 per cent.
There is also something new for climbing enthusiasts. Three multi-pitch sectors have been set up in the region: in the Jamtal, on the Ballunspitze and on the Bürkelkopf. For beginners, the natural rock climbing wall at the Alpinarium in Galtür now offers a new practice via ferrata.
From 2025, the trail running offer in Paznaun will include a total of 31 routes covering different levels of difficulty and landscape profiles.
Sustainable mobility and ECARF recertification
Sustainable mobility in the region is still guaranteed by bus transport, free of charge with the Silvretta Card Premium or the guest card. There are continuous half-hourly connections from Landeck/Zams to the Bielerhöhe. In addition, the "Nightjet into the mountains" offer enables a comfortable and environmentally friendly journey with Nightjet trains from Hamburg, Amsterdam, Vienna and Graz.
Galtür, Tyrol's first climatic health resort, remains a pioneer in allergy-friendly holidays in 2025 thanks to ECARF recertification. The European Centre for Allergy Research Foundation (ECARF) confirms that accommodation, catering and leisure activities are specially tailored to the needs of allergy sufferers.
