Silva Trails Opening 2025: Galtür kicks off the bike season with action, technology and girl power

On 19 and 21 June 2025, Galtür will be transformed into a Mecca for mountain bike enthusiasts: the official opening of the Silva Trails marks the start of the 2025 biking season in Paznaun. A total of 15 kilometres of varied trails, pump tracks and jump lines await visitors - ideal for beginners, families and ambitious bikers.

The opening of the Silva Trails in Galtür marks a spectacular start to the biking season in the Tyrolean Paznaun: Two varied event days invite bike fans of all levels to experience the new trail offer, take part in free technique sessions and celebrate the joy of mountain biking together with professionals and like-minded people.

19 June: Start of the season with bike pros and technique workshops

On Thursday, 19 June, the Silva Trails Opening kicks off at 10:00 am. The highlights of the day are exclusive workshops with MTB pro Elias Schwärzler, freeride athlete David Zimmermann and enduro rider Freddy Matz. In two sessions (10:00-12:00 and 13:00-15:00), the Senders Academy together with the Galtür Bike School will provide valuable tips on riding technique. The day is rounded off with an inspiring talk followed by an autograph session with Elias Schwärzler at 16:00 on the Faulbrunn Alm.

21 June: Women's Day - focus on female bikers

Saturday, 21 June, is all about women: At Women's Day, the Senders Academy and coach, e-mountainbike pro and e-bike champion Erik Emmrich will be offering special workshops for female bikers. The sessions take place from 10:00-12:00 and 13:00-15:00 and specifically promote technique and self-confidence on the bike for beginners and advanced riders.

Free bike experience for everyone

Admission is free on both days. On Thursday, visitors can also test the latest models from the official bike partner of the Paznaun - Ischgl tourism region, Simplon, free of charge at the valley station of the Alpkogel cable car. The event will take place in the Silvapark Galtür, which has a variety of trails to suit every level.
